Candice was recommended to me through a friend. I can't even begin to explain how much of a game changer it was working with Candice. I started off breastfeeding but my baby had reflux which made it very difficult. With all the other challenges that came with being a new mother I decided it was getting too difficult so I switched over to pumping and then giving him a bottle. I missed breastfeeding and found pumping was a whole other challenge in and of itself. It was so time consuming to pump and then give him a bottle. At this point I decided to reach out to Candice from GoldiLacts and get her advice on if there was hope for me to switch back to breastfeeding and if so what would be the easiest process to do so. We did an hour phone call and she asked all the right questions to get a full picture of what had happened on my breastfeeding journey thus far. I only needed one phone call session and I was able to transition back to breastfeeding within three days which I never expected. Candice helped give me the tools and confidence to switch back and gave me ideas on how to administer my sons medication without having to give him a bottle. She also made herself available by text for any questions and follow ups. So grateful for Candice she truly changed the course of my breastfeeding journey and I'm forever grateful.
Is it possible to give 100 stars? Where do I even begin??! My son was 12 days old at the time and I was up up late at night in tears, struggling to get my little guy to gain weight. We had been trying to get into the groove of things with breastfeeding but for some reason he wasn't latching so I did what I did with my other children - I resorted into using a nipple sheild but he still wasn't gaining. He had lost 10.5% of his birth weight and we were going to the pediatrician every 3 days to get weighed in and they were pressuring me to start using formula. A couple of days before I made the call to Golidlacts, my little guy, at 10 days old had a laser procedure done to correct his tongue tie. What I didn't realize at the time is that after the procedure, the little ones need to re-learn how to use their tongue. We were already struggling with nursing and now had to deal with all this. I googled lactation consultants that night and was drawn to Goldilacts immediately. I reached out and within minutes got a response from Candice E. We scheduled a consult for the very next day. As soon as I opened I felt better. Candice gave me not only the confidence I needed but the encouragement to keep going. She watched my son and I in our own element and how we were doing things and gave us pointers. Candice E. gave me instructions on how to wean LO off the shield and positions that worked but most importantly when she left, I knew I had a new friend and a great cheerleader. Pediatricians fill your head with worries and mine (and the hospital) were so strong on us starting formula feed but deep down I knew that wasn't the path for us. We worked through it all, with Candice E. a phone call/text away. We are 9 weeks and counting and I can not stop recommending Goldilacts to everyone I cross paths with. I kid you not, I think about Candice E. and the guidance she gave me and how thankful I am for her support each and every single day. You won't regret giving Goldilacts a call!
