A few weeks ago I got hit with my first case of mastitis (3 months postpartum and exclusively pumping). I was in so much pain, feeling very weak, fevers in the 102s and just all around feeling miserable and discouraged. Went to my primary doctor who confused me even more by saying to stop feeding baby and to throw away all my milk from 2-3 days ago and from here on out during my 10 day antibiotic treatment. I went home that day in tears and feeling completely lost. Now of course I checked with our pediatrician who told me to continue with no problem and she was shocked as to where in the world my primary's thought process was coming from. Okay so that was just a background. I was still feeling super confused about this infection and just started questioning everything. At around 6am the next morning I texted the number on Goldilacts' website desperate for some guidance. I had been following their Instagram page for about a month so I decided to reach out. In less than an hour or so, Candice J text me back and said she wanted to give me a complimentary call within 30 minutes. What!?! I was so shocked at the level of concern and the need to help someone that she didn't know and I wasn't even her client yet. She just wanted to help. I couldn't believe it. Long story short we talked and I instantly felt like I had someone else on "my team" aside from my husband. We ended up doing a virtual FaceTime call a couple days later and she answered all my questions and went over everything pumping/mastitis. At that time my mastitis although treatment had started was still painful and I was pumping 7 times a day and just feeling exhausted. When we got off our call, I let a bad day decide that I wanted to stop breastfeeding! After Candice J spent over an hour helping me and guiding me to continue I sent her a text literally 10 min after that call saying i wanted to stop. I felt so bad since I didn't want her to think she had wasted her time during that call. Her response blew my mind. She completely shifted gears and expressed complete understanding with zero judgement and went on to give me all the advice and steps to stop breastfeeding in a safe way (since I wasn't fully recovered) I went to bed that night 100% sure I was stopping and I had already placed the order for the few items she recommended. I woke up the next morning feeling so much better and 100% sure that I wanted to continue breastfeeding haha I felt crazy. So many on and offs. When Candice J text me that day asking how my weaning process was going I told her I was continuing and again she was sooo supportive!! We have since then gone down to 6 pumps a day and working towards dropping another in the upcoming months. She still checks up on me often and it just feels great to have someone I can go to with questions and concerns. She's always just a text away. I am so so glad I reached out to her. It was the best thing I could've done. She's super friendly, knowledgeable, caring and understanding. Her goal is to just help with whatever it is you want to do whether it's breastfeeding via breast, via pump, transitioning to formula..whatever it is, she will help you with zero judgement. I've recommended her to a bunch of my pregnant friends already. I'm so glad I reached out to her!! Thank you Candice J

Goldilacts is THE place to go for lactation support! I worked with Candice N and she was awesome. I had issues with milk supply, latching, and my son refusing my breast. I had seen 3 LCs prior and my son still would refuse to nurse so eventually I resigned myself to give up. Then, my best friend found Goldilacts for me and everything changed. Candice helped me to latch, regulate my milk supply, and gave me the support and confidence to successfully breastfeed. Candice has technical expertise - her method of latching is more gentle and baby led than what I learned from the others. And she welcomes moms to reach out to her if we have any questions. She not only answers my questions, but also responds quickly, let's me know that I'm doing great, and encourages me to continue trusting my instincts. It has been a little over 1 week since my session with her and I'm now exclusively breastfeeding comfortably and feeling more bonded to my son than I ever have. I truly feel that she has a strong passion for what she does and I can't thank her enough for helping me :)
